Happy Chocolate-Gifting Week!

In honor of Valentine’s Day, I’ve upped the gift card this week to $75. The blog topic is resilience, and how we dust ourselves off after stress or a setback has tried to mess with our HEA. Leave your comment here!

I have reinvented myself at least 7 times, maybe more. Not always voluntarily (layoffs, move with hubbie) but each time I have managed to bounce back to a better place, usually. Each time I found myself in a totally unfamiliar work situation (can’t always call them careers), I used my curiosity and drive to forge a new external persona, while trying to keep the internal Me settled (not always successfully.)

I retired October 1, 2018, and am now trying to reinvent myself once more, this time as ME rather than as job category. A true challenge. I may even trying being a book blogger!

I’ve picked myself up & dusted myself off so many times in the last 50 years it’s become second nature now. The key for what worked for me is that I could do nothing and feel sorry for myself or move on. That’s how I dealt with the stress & setbacks in my life. Just forge ahead of stay stuck. 🙂

After several starts (some involuntary)I hope I’m where I am to stay. However, I know I could pick myself up and reinvent myself once again if needed. Nothing is ever static so I’m prepared for changes and hopeful for adventures.
